The food was definitely so amazing, the ribs were delicious. They are a true specialty smokehouse, not the generic mid kind - which is very rare to find in the St. Cloud area.
The atmosphere in Barbacoa is amazing, and their food is even better! It's never a disappointment! I've had their burritos, tacos, and sandwiches, all mouth watering! They make a pretty good old fashion as well! If you're ever near Albany, don't forget to stop by.. you won't be disappointed!

I highly recommend this joint! The owner is from El Salvador and is very personable and friendly. The food is kind a of a mix/fusion of Central American food and typical Stearns County fair and is great. There’s a full bar and a short but quality tap list. Great place!
We went to Barbacoa for the first time this evening and we were so impressed. The food portions were large and the food was so, so good. The smoked meats were fabulous. We will be returning!
Service note: It is normally almost "fast casual" style where you make your order at the front (you can grab a menu first and sit down for awhile though if you want) and then they bring the food out to you, they don't normally take your order at the table unless you make a reservation more than 24 hrs in advance. But the people themselves are friendly and helpful. They sometimes have live music out on their patio/outdoor area. The food was very, very good! Recommended by 4 people with very different tastes. The ribs were a bit tougher than some people might be used to but not bad and the flavor was amazing. Mac & cheese was delightful with the extra char. Quesadilla was perfect and plentiful, and the chicken was absolutely perfect - not dry. All the flavors are great.
A great Mexican restaurant in Albany Minnesota. We had the brisket tacos and burrito. An interesting twist of brisket in a taco and burrito. Not a combination usually paired, but food was served quickly, food was amazing with great flavor, and the service was excellent!
This place is amazing! My husband and I went here for an anniversary dinner and had a great experience. We both chose the two meat plates to try a variety of items. Everything was delicious - from the sausage, brisket, chicken and ribs, they were all items we would order again. The Mac N Cheese was on point and the Cole Slaw is creamy! Cannot wait to go back and try some of the Mexican options. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable.
